About the Research

Honder College Indus Valley Research

Our research team, led by Professor Wu Jiacai at Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences, has examined over a thousand seals from Harappa and Mohenjo-daro, deciphering 132 individual characters and translating 401 complete seals.

Through interdisciplinary analysis combining archaeoclimatology, archaeological typology, and physical anthropology, we trace the cultural exchange routes between the Hongshan region and the Indus Valley, revealing deep connections between Chinese and South Asian civilizations.
